The 125th Anniversary of Good Housekeeping features “125 Women Who Changed Our World.” The cover story, “Michelle Obama is Finally Home,” the First Lady discusses her marriage, kids, and “killer workouts.”

Essence magazine is kicking off the first of its three-part education series, “Teaching Our Children,” with an interview with the First Couple (mostly the President). They discuss education and how they encourage First Daughters Sasha and Malia to love learning and excel academically.
In French Elle’s annual “Best Dressed” issue, Michelle topped Carla Bruni, former model and wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy, in the ”political chic” category.
This is the second year in the row a foreign first lady has beaten the French First Lady for the honors. Ouch.
It wasn’t a big surprise but Mrs. Obama didn’t appear at last night’s celeb-filled Glamour Magazine Awards 2009 Women of the Year Awards in which she was honored with a Special Recognition award (and a December cover). Former president Bill Clinton, famed author Maya Angelou, paparazzi starlet (also R&B singer) Rihanna, media magnate Tyra Banks, and journalists Euna Lee and Laura Ling were just a few of the who’s-who in Hollywood, politics, and fashion at the event.
